  1.         The program with complete documentation is too large to fit on a
  2.         standard floppy disk(362K). The documentation has been placed on
  3.         this disk in ARC format.  Follow the instructions to print the
  4.         documentation.  Move the programs to your hard disk on drive C:
  5.         or a floppy disk on drive B:.  You will need about 500k of hard
  6.         disk space to operate FFUN with a seasonal database.

  8.         Warning: Do not change the names of the .EXE files to anything
  9.         else or the program will not work.

  11. Getting Started.
  12.         What to do first.
  13.         Put diskette in drive A: and enter
  14.                    A:INSTALL
  15.         Follow the instructions for installing on hard or floppy disks.

  17.         Operating from floppy disks.
  18.         Put your working disk in drive A: to run the program using
  19.         following commands:

  28.         The first screen you will see gives you some advice on how to
  29.         operate the game.  The game is simple to operate.  It has menus
  30.         which allow you to select the functions you will have seen on the
  31.         first screen.  First time users may want to print out the documenta-
  32.         tion which is about 33 pages long.

  34.         Printing the documentation.

  39. AVOIDING PROBLEMS.
  40.  
  41.         The most commonly reported problem in the past has been the
  42.         team names which appear on top of the Sunday and Monday
  43.         reports.  Users have complained that the names of the teams
  44.         were not the same as the teams which played on Sunday and
  45.         Monday.
  46.  
  47.         The problem was caused by users printing a selection sheet for
  48.         weeks in the future using the menu item to print a sheet for
  49.         next week.  When you print a sheet for next week, the program
  50.         saves the names of the teams in a special file.  When you then
  51.         print a sheet for the games 2 weeks from now, it saves the
  52.         names of the teams playing 2 weeks from now.  These are not
  53.         the names of the teams which are playing this coming weekend.

  55.         To avoid this problem use the Utility Menu item,
  56.                 4. Print future week selection sheet.
  57.         this feature prints a sheet without saving the names of the
  58.         teams.

  61. NEW FEATURES.

  63.         Change in Menus.
  64.         A function on the Weekly Menu has been switched with a
  65.         function on the Utility Menu.  The function,
  66.                 Print future week selection sheet.
  67.         has been moved to the Utility Menu and the function,
  68.                 Print/View the Player Selections.
  69.         has been moved to the Weekly Menu.  This was done because the
  70.         Print/View Player Selections is done every week and some users
  71.         could not find it easily.

  73.         Customize the selection sheet.
  74.         The user may create a data file with custom  heading lines
  75.         for the selection sheet.  A method has now been added to
  76.         the utility menu which will prompt the user for the
  77.         necessary lines.  All the user has to do is
  78.         type in the custom lines for the selection sheet when the
  79.         program prompts him.

  81.         The menu item can be found on the Utility Menu.

  83.                 8. Customize Weekly Selection Sheet.

  85.         This menu item will prompt for the six heading lines at the
  86.         top of the of the selection sheet.  It will then prompt for
  87.         the line which appears below the selection sheet line,

  91.         and finally it will prompt for  a line to be placed on
  92.         the bottom of the sheet below,

  96.         TIE BREAKER POINTS.

  98.         Some users prefer to use the point spread of the Monday night
  99.         game as the tie breaker.  The selection sheet can now be
  100.         printed so that it will show 'POINT SPREAD' instead of 'TOTAL
  101.         POINTS'.  This is done at the time the user is setting up the
  102.         customized selection sheet.

  104.         The program will prompt user for a 'P' if they use the point
  105.         spread instead of the total points.
